Who Am I?
Not meant to be an existential question...
I am Erika Nomland Cilengir and here are some things about me
that inform who I am and my perspective on life:
- Published author - "In the Shadow of a Maverick: Lessons from my father" (published January 2023)
- Native Californian - born in Los Angeles on Sunset Blvd
- Only child of an American-born man and a German-born woman - both unabashedly liberal and unwavering in their principles
- Animal lover
- Career in corporate America as a technical communicator, business analyst, project manager, and product manager
- Married to a Turkish-born man
- Mother to a son
- Lover of travel and food
- Avid walker and runner
Why a Website?
I wanted to create a single source for my poetry and the creative work of others in my family (including friends!).
